Gavin Sheppard

Gavin Sheppard is chief executive of the sustainability company Pinwheel, which he founded in 2020 with former UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd and advertising entrepreneur Rupert Howell. Pinwheel enables businesses to fund carbon, biodiversity and waste reduction projects around the world, and to grow brand equity by engaging staff and customers in the process.

Prior to starting Pinwheel, Gavin was founding CMO of the multi-award-winning Smart Energy GB – the UK’s largest behaviour change campaign. An alumnus of London Business School, Marketing Week named him one of the 100 ‘brightest and best executives’. He has written about marketing and sustainability for national newspapers and publications.
