Dr. Natalie Johnson

Dr. Natalie Foster Johnson received her Juris Master with a concentration in Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk Management from Florida State University, and an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Information Security from St. Thomas University. She also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, both from Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Johnson holds several industry certifications including ISACA’s Certified Data Privacy Security Engineer (CDPSE) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Global Information Assurance Certification’s (GIAC) Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) Certification, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, Prosci’s Change Management Certification, and the Project Management Institute‘s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

For the past 8 years, Dr. Johnson has proudly served Broward County government in the areas of compliance, security, and governance. Dr. Johnson has 15+ years of experience with business analytics, project management, change management, governance, security, and compliance.

Additionally, Dr. Johnson is focused on growing the number of cybersecurity experts through research, mentoring, and hands-on training opportunities. She is committed to learning and expanding her skill set to include the latest aspects of infosec, privacy, and cybersecurity in the protection of critical infrastructure. Future goals include expanding into academia through teaching, curriculum development, further mentorship and sponsorship roles, and global outreach for the expansion of cyber resilience in critical infrastructure sectors.

Dr. Johnson is a devoted Lifetime Girl Scout, Vice President of Education and Events of the Cyversity South Florida Chapter, a member of ISACA South Florida, a member of the South Florida Chapter of ISSA, and a proud founding member of the CyberMINDS Research Institute.
