Yağmur Şahin

Yagmur is a Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Professional with expertise in GDPR, UK GDPR, and KVKK (Turkish Privacy Law). She is a qualified lawyer in Turkey and holds two master’s degrees in cybersecurity.

Currently, Yagmur works as a Senior Executive in the Data Privacy & Protection Team at BDO, where she advises clients on privacy risk management. Her expertise includes privacy by design practices and reducing privacy risks in new product and service development.

At the operational level, she coordinates, implements, monitors, and conducts privacy audits and provides guidance to businesses on assigning responsibilities and managing personal and sensitive data.

At the strategic level, she collaborates with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing privacy, ultimately improving services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Yagmur holds certifications as an IAPP Information Privacy Professional - Europe (CIPP/E) and a OneTrust Certified Privacy Professional.
