The European Union (EU) framework for Digital Operational Resilience Act (“DORA”) takes effect in January 2025 and will be a steep change for the financial sector. While 2025 might seem far away, DORA has broad implications for financial institutions. The various regulatory technical standards (“level II texts”) to follow may not be published until late 2024, giving a very short window to implement the necessary changes.
