Paul Butcher

Paul Butcher joined Lloyd’s Register (LR) in 2017 as Managing Director of Business Assurance and Inspection Services and has since moved into the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly independent LRQA (formerly LR Business Assurance and Inspection Services). Paul has extensive global leadership experience in technology and professional services and a proven track record in business growth, acquisitions, capital raising, and private equity and is currently leading approximately 3,200 exceptional colleagues at LRQA, plus 2,700 contractors who are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of services to over 55,000+ clients around the world Paul holds a BSc (Soc Sci) degree in Politics and International Studies from Southampton University and has comprehensive experience working in global leadership roles in the IT services and telecommunications sectors, including positions with Marconi, Ericsson, and Damovo. Following that, Paul went on to spend several years working as Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Assurance in the testing, inspection, and certification industry at SAI Global until joining LRQA (formerly Lloyd’s Register) in 2017.
