Olusegun Oyesanya

Segun is a Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer at Renmoney Microfinance Bank Limited, a foremost tech-driven digital bank in Nigeria. His role in data protection includes advising stakeholders on relevant data protection laws (both local and foreign) and promoting awareness of data privacy rights.

Having begun his career in data protection at Jackson, Etti & Edu where he advised local and multinational companies on data processing, privacy design, and risk analysis, Segun is currently focused on the interplay between data privacy rights, regulations and the private sector players. He also deals with legal issues around IT contracts, cross-border transfers, policy-making and data processing agreements.

Segun co-authored a privacy article on automated decision-making and profiling titled, “Data Analytics and Profiling – What Should the Law Demand?”
