Mathew Chacko

Mathew Chacko is a founding partner of Spice Route Legal, one of India’s fastest growing law firms and a leading technology law firm in the country. Mathew heads the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice group at Spice Route Legal, and is the only TMT lawyer in India to regularly assist clients in the intersection of private equity and venture capital investments, M&A, contentious mandates, data protection, regulatory advisory, licensing, commercial contracts, and intellectual property – all with a focus on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.

With close to two decades of experience, Mathew advises on a variety of cross-border corporate and commercial transactions including in relation to investments, fund-formation, technology laws, data privacy, intellectual property, commercial and regulatory compliance, technology law disputes, and risk mitigation strategy. His clients include some of the largest technology, media & entertainment companies, financial institutions, and investment funds.
