Ed Hayes is a privacy law specialist who frequently advises international businesses and UK public authorities on data protection, freedom of information and cybersecurity issues, including on the development of policy. He has deep experience supporting organisations with complex data protection compliance programmes, and delivering change initiatives that support companies in keeping pace with changes to legislation. He is particularly interested in the interaction of privacy law with ethics, and how organisations navigate between that the law requires them to do, what commercial drivers incentivise them to do, and what their key stakeholders and the wider public expect them to do; and regularly speaks on these issues and conferences and in bespoke training events for clients.
