Daniel has a background as a lawyer specialising in litigation and media law, advising print and broadcast media in Ireland in relation to contentious and non-contentious matters. In 2018 he joined RTÉ, Ireland’s national broadcaster, and in 2019 was appointed its Data Protection Officer. In 2022 he was appointed RTÉ’s Principal Privacy Counsel and advises the organisation on its compliance obligations and risks, focussing on privacy and data protection issues.
