Bart turned his frustration of data projects being paused or axed due to privacy into STRM Privacy. Whilst finishing his PhD in Economics and Business, he ran the People Analytics team at Ahold Delhaize (a 70BN retailer) using sensitive HR data to improve the quality of decision making. After that, he launched technical Research and Development teams in the field of robotics and AI. The common ground? The dilemma to use data in order to innovate, without compromising on privacy or safety. Together with Pim Nauts he teamed up to create STRM Privacy, enabling organizations to use fast, privacy safe data by delivering data privacy infrastructure.
