Adam Au is a general counsel and data protection officer of a Hong Kong-listed healthcare service provider with operations in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. He has worked at international law firms as well as as an in-house counsel at private equity funds, family office and other financial institutions. His experience ranges from private equity, M&A and other capital markets transactions to data privacy and other regulatory compliance across the Asia-Pacific region. His primary focus is on emerging technology, venture capital, data protection, and healthcare. Adam is also an experienced data protection officer with qualifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and ISACA including CIPP (Europe), CIPP (Asia), CIPT, CIPM and CDPSE. He has been elected as a Fellow of Information Privacy under IAPP.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and East Asian Studies from Brown University, a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Law from the University of Oxford, and a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Sloan Fellow.
