While data security is at the forefront for many IT and security teams, for most employees, security is an afterthought. They just want to be able to access the data they need when and where they need it so they can do their jobs. And if security practices feel too cumbersome or complicated, they’ll find workarounds—or worse, skip security altogether.
This creates dangerous vulnerabilities, especially in today’s hybrid office/remote environment. Organizations must find the critical balance between data security and usability so end users don’t bypass important practices wherever they are in order to get work done.
During this session, Arif Khan from PKWARE discusses the challenges of data security versus usability and how organizations can find the right balance.
