I’m a Kyndryl Distinguished Engineer and the Chief Technology Officer for Kyndryl UK and Ireland, the leading Infrastructure Services company who is truly the Heart of Progress. I’m passionate about technology and driving excellence in all that we do for our clients and the world, and massively keen on driving the technical vitality of our people – no matter what part of the business or how they serve our clients. I have been there and got the T-shirt through many years delivering complex transformations across all industries sectors all over the world. I’m also a passionate believer in ‘don’t just do it – teach it too’, and I’m a proud part of many teaching initiatives for our architect and technical community across Kyndryl. I have the badges and the scars, and proud to be an Open Group Distinguished Architect and an – this is a critical foundation for ourselves and our clients and I will be ensuring this profession evolves with the rapid changes in technology we see all around us. Until recently I led our Multi Cloud Consultancy business, with the honour to set the mission and a high bar for a world class team of infrastructure consultants who deliver for our clients, day in and day out. I span the world of Architecture and Consultancy, so I’m an expert in understanding the problem, building a roadmap, defining the architecture and overseeing successful implementation. This means I am very comfortable with - Developing technical strategies for customers and our own business - Requirements gathering and analysis - Architectural development - Technical leadership of small and large teams (100+) - Technical governance for projects of all types - Solution Development on projects from £1m to £2Bn - Project and Programme Definition - Project and Programme planning - Contract development and negotiation - Technical recovery of troubled projects for clients - External consultancy for global projects - Creation and delivery of education courses for Kyndryl and clients globally Finally, I am one of Kyndryl’s global leaders in the topic of migration of all types - I’ve moved things all round the world, to and from data centres and to Clouds; it’s a hybrid world and will be for a while yet.
