2022: CISO - Chief Information Security Officer for University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust To act as the designated specialist on information/cyber security. Manage the Cyber Security Team 2016-22: Head of ICT - Arts University Plymouth I was responsible for the strategic direction, development and management of ICT services, underpinning the current operation and future planning of the University. I contributed through various committees and working groups, taking an active leadership role within the wider HE and FE environments. In 2021 I graduated from Exeter Business School having completed a Senior Leader MBA that I had been studying for part time. I have also achieved the following over the last two years: + Chartered Manager Certification with the CMI + CMI level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management Practice (Duel accredited qualification) + IfATE level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Certification. With the rapidly increasing prevalence of cyber attacks within the sector I drove cyber security resilience within my organisation, we achieved Cyber Essentials Plus this year and were looking ahead to ISO12700 compliance requirements. Having worked with our partners at JISC I planning a transformational shift to being cloud first and overcame the major hurdles this presented. AUP had leveraged cloud services for many years so this was not only a natural progression but also provides the best value for money with highest operational assurance. The IT Team at AUP under my guidance had been preparing themselves for this, focusing CPD time on cloud platforms and certification.
