Mark Burton

I am responsible for supporting global service providers in building managed services through innovative technology capabilities. Within this, my role is to engage with partners to help them understand their technology needs, driven by business outcomes. At Riverbed my position spans more than technology; covering market content generation, enablement and training, both within Riverbed and in partner organizations. I bring over 35 years’ experience leading international teams across Riverbed, Actility, Ipanema Technologies, Entuity & Riversoft. Whist I have a background in networking my roles have spanned product management, strategy, sales and building technology teams. I believe success comes from understanding the objectives of the business and then layering the technology solutions to support them. Measurement and visibility are key to benchmarking success in transformation projects delivered. Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel extensively. I’ve spent 15+ years based in Paris and I’m now permanently based in South West France, having adopted a hybrid work pattern long before the recent shift to home working. I’ve a keen interest in rugby; Saracens were my team in the UK but I’ve switched to supporting Toulouse since living in France. I’m also an enthusiastic golfer and cycling and Formula One spectator!
