Executive Chair for TCC and Recordsure
Joanne Smith is a visionary leader with 30+ years of experience in finance, compliance and innovation. Founding TCC Group (2001) and Recordsure (2012), she introduced a unique combination of regulatory expertise and ground-breaking technology to solve the financial services sectors biggest challenge: efficient risk management while delivering better customer outcomes at scale.
Joanne’s passion and wide-ranging expertise for solving compliance challenges through innovative technologies was cultivated during tenures at some of the finance sector’s leading names such as HBOS, KPMG and the FSA. Over the last two decades, Joanne has been focused on heading up her two businesses. After founding tech-enabled conduct consultancy firm TCC, she launched intelligent speech and document analytics solution Recordsure, which soon blossomed into a successful business in its own right.
Currently, Joanne is an Executive Chair for TCC and Recordsure, serves as Chair of the CBI SME Council and a Board Member at insuretech firm Uinsure. She is a passionate supporter of female founders and a serial investor in female-led tech businesses.
Her work has won her multiple industry accolades, including titles such as Innovator of the Year from the UK FinTech Awards, the prestigious GRC Innovator of the Year Award 2021, the Entrepreneur Award at the Every Woman In Technology Awards and repeat appearances on Innovate Finance’s annual Women in FinTech Powerlist.
