Emily Kildow

Emily Kildow has experience in the consulting on commercial architecture and construction management projects. Working as a Designer for commercial interiors and new construction prior to starting with Viridian, Ms Kildow provided consultation on sustainability issues including environmentally-responsible materials, indoor air quality, energy efficiency, building water usage, waste reduction and sustainable site design. She has provided LEED workshops, Career Fairs, Sustainable fashion shows for Urban Green Council NYC, as well as siting on a National USGBC Board. She has also participated as a board member for an organization focusing on sustainability and historic preservation for under-resourced communities. Emily Kildow has been providing guidance to owners and designers in pursuit of sustainability. LEED New Construction, Commercial Interiors and Core & Shell certification, Existing Buildings Battery Park City Residential Requirements, New York State Green Building Tax Credit, NYSERDA New Construction Program incentives and compliance with New York State and New York City energy efficiency requirements and Local Laws. Emily has taken knowledge of over 50+ Green Buildings (New Construction & Major Renovations) and has worked as the Sustainability Manager for 4M+ SF Campus managing operations and capital improvements. In addition to her current position, community outreach, board participation and speaking engagements are a substantial part of Ms. Kildow’s professional life. She has Co-chaired Energy Metering and Operations working group for the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, held a position on the NYECC, spoken on panel discussions about The Office of the Future and micro-grids here in NYC and a Human Sensor, involved in the 0X80 Zero waste initiative in NYC as a contributor to the Zero Waste Design Guidelines, and sits on the High Line Pneumatic Waste Advisory Board.
