I am currently CTO, Healthcare for Pegasystems where I offer my expertise in clinical transformation, population health, and informatics. I believe seamless, easy-to-deploy interoperability combined with patient-centered workflow is the foundational element necessary that allows organizations to deliver the highest quality, safest, and most efficient healthcare generating excellent outcomes and patient experiences. (navigatingthecode.com) Applying over 20 years of experience in business development, market awareness, and strategic planning, I take a major role in helping healthcare IT organizations gain brand awareness and market share to drive sales of technology products and services. I currently act as a subject matter expert on all items related to healthcare IT, assisting financial and technology due-diligence companies in their effort to evaluate potential acquisition targets for their clients. During my 2+ years at Tableau as clinical lead, I drove the use of analytics at the point of care to enhance patient outcomes. While at Infor Global Solutions as its first Chief Medical Information Officer, I served as the singular clinical spokesperson across all its healthcare offerings. By participating in business development meetings, offering keynotes at conferences, and authoring on average 15 original articles per year, I drove the clinical branding of Infor’s back-office products during a time of market focus on EMRs. Prior to Infor, I cut my teeth working with management consulting and information technology firms to learn critical business development skills. My four years served on the HIMSS Board of Directors, with the last year as Chair, offered me the necessary experience to work at the most senior levels of organizations. I continue to push the strategy envelope on the use of health IT through my frequent presentations, writing, and teaching.
